Bridging the Gaps for Haitian Entrepreneurs
The Haiti Business Accelerator is dedicated to fostering economic growth in Haiti by connecting startups and entrepreneurs with the available resources, mentorship and capital they need to scale up and sustain their businesses. We aim to close the gap between Haitian founders and these resources which historically have been available yet inaccessible. The HBA serves both Haitians in Haiti and in the diaspora.
HBA is an initiative of the leadership of the Greater Northern Chamber of Commerce. We are founders, business leaders, industrialists and educators from Haiti, the Haitian Diaspora and the Affinity Diaspora committed to the idea that the future of Haiti will be well-served by empowered Haitian entrepreneurs. Collectively, we have assembled a network of trade associations and incubator organization throughout Haiti and abroad.
The HBA is structured as three verticals of activity designed to serve Haitian entrepreneurs by helping unlock capital, find strategic resources and connecting them directly to global opportunities.
Vertical 1: Maintaining a registry of Haitian entrepreneurs.
Vertical 2: Maintaining a registry of global resources and opportunities for Haitian entrepreneurs.
Vertical 3: Provide preparation, training, mentorship and guidance to connect entrepreneurs in the entrepreneurs registry to the resources and opportunities in the resources registry.
The registry of Haitian founders are certified through the HBS Foundry Roadmap. These entrepreneurs are prepared to take advantage of resources and opportunities listed in the resources registry.
Through training workshops, mentorship and other Programs, the HBA works to 1) prepare and position Haitian founders to competitively pursue available resources and opportunities and 2) match these founders to newfound and existing funding and business opportunities in Haiti and abroad.
The registry of resources is a repository of grants, venture funding, contract opportunities, and other resources available to Haitian entrepreneurs positioned to pursue them.
For 2026-2027 we are aiming for the following impact goals:
New Jobs Created in Haiti
International Trade Missions
These reciprocal missions promote trade, cultural exchange and investment between Haitian enterprises and global opportunities.
Companies in Harvard Business School Foundry Trainings
Companies Accelerated
These are companies that have been matched to opportunities in the Resource Registry.
